TUTOR BIO

I began learning to play the piano and violin at a young age, completing grades and playing many songs I knew by ear. This then led me on to wanting to get involved in music with a more modern approach. I started lessons in Music Technology and Production here at Wirral Music Tuition at the age of 13 before later going on to receive a first-class degree in Music Production, specialising in House Music from Leeds University.

Having playing and holding many residencies at multiple clubs around Leeds and Liverpool, this year I played one of the main dance stages at Leeds Festival. I have produced many of my own tracks and are signed to multiple House music labels such a Knee Deep In Sound. I am looking to pass my knowledge in Production and DJing onto others especially those wanting to learn how to create dance music. I have skills in music theory, production, software, hardware, scales/keys, playing by ear and mixing.

How We Teach Music Lessons

Lessons can stick to a formal grading but many of our students choose to learn via a more informal song based method, learning to play through the songs they love. The two methods can also be combined at the preference of the pupil. So, jam through a favourite song one week; learn a grading piece the next.

Lessons can be tailored to your specific needs through song-based learning, but if you’d like a more structured learning process we also offer the Rock School music grades and traditional grades. Rockschool Music grades are the world's first Music Graded Syllabus that focuses on the more current, contemporary rock and pop genres for your performance pieces. With this, you can develop your playing skills, playing songs that you or your child recognize rather than the sometimes more un-inspiring classical pieces, whilst still achieving an accredited qualification.
